Mechanical Properties of Carbon Steel Materials

Carbon steel can be categorized into three kinds in general: low carbon steel, mild carbon steel and high carbon steel. Low carbon steel, such as C1015, C1018 and C1022, are widely used in screws production. With correct heat treatment low carbon steel screws could be applied in many fields. C1006, C1008 and C1015, on the other hand, do not require heat treatment and are mostly used to produce machine screws and applied mainly in the electronic mechanical field. Stainless steel screws are more workable and durable. They are ideally suited for a variety of industrial, medical, culinary, automotive and electronic mechanical industries.
